Sean was raised in a small western Pennsylvania town. He played sports, hiked, rode his bike everywhere and always had a job — a reflection of his family’s work ethic. Sean attended Westminster College, a small-town school also in western Pennsylvania. After college, he spent 10 years with the financial services division of Nationwide Insurance in Ohio, where he directed a team of 45 employees responsible for marketing and client service for the State of Ohio’s deferred compensation plan.

Sean moved to L.A. in 2003 and worked for a high-yield bond manager for two years before joining Westmount. Since his arrival, he’s been instrumental in bringing sophisticated financial planning services to Westmount clients, to create a rich, personal context for strategic investing. He’s also taken a leadership role in managing and mentoring the firm’s advisors and planning specialists. Outside of work, Sean describes himself as a “humble student” of the guitar.
