Pat was born in Japan, the daughter of a nurse and an Air Force pilot who later became a lawyer. She met her husband, a small business consultant, when he hired her for a summer job at McDonald’s.

Pat earned a degree in math and a certificate in computer science from Cal State, San Bernardino. She worked at TRW on ballistic missiles, then moved into finance with Wilshire Associates and Deutsche Bank, where she handled big-name institutional clients like Lockheed and Disney. That experience provided the counterpoint to her move in 2000 to Westmount, where she loves making a direct impact on the lives of individuals and families.
