Katja has long held a deep love and appreciation for the outdoors. Growing up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, she could often be found hiking, skiing, and enjoying time in the mountains. She later graduated from the University of Puget Sound with dual degrees in economics and environmental policy, along with a minor in politics.
Katja began her career as an associate advisor at Northwestern Mutual before joining Westmount as a paraplanner supporting the firm’s financial planning team. In 2026, she was promoted to financial planner, where she helps clients understand the various qualitative and quantitative aspects of the financial planning process, including taxes, executive compensation, Social Security, retirement planning, charitable giving, and more. Besides her work with clients, Katja also supports Westmount’s various financial education initiatives by writing blog posts and providing advisor training on various topics in financial planning.
Outside the office, you can find Katja running, spending time at the beach, or hanging out with friends and family. Katja is also a New York Times Wordle and Connections devotee.
