Born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Katja has been a lover of the outdoors for most of her life. Growing up, you could find her hiking, skiing, and enjoying time in the mountains. She later graduated from University of Puget Sound with dual degrees in economics and environmental policy, along with a minor in politics.

She began her career as an Associate Advisor at Northwestern Mutual. Interested in a holistic approach to financial planning, Katja was drawn to Westmount’s ever-expanding offering. In her role as Paraplanner, she works closely with Westmount’s Senior Financial Planner in all aspects of the financial planning process, including building out projections, conducting research, and interacting with clients.

Outside of the office, you can find her running, spending time at the beach, or hanging out with friends and family. Katja is also a New York Times Wordle and Connections devotee.
